What is Hunters for Youth?

We are a non-profit organization working together to bring Nebraska's beauty to youth. We worth with communities, businesses, landowners, and HFY staff to provide free activities/events for our youth. From hunters education, fishing, and range safety, to hunting and fishing trips! We are also needed Certified Staff and Volunteers to make HFY work and donations!

My two kids and I attended a Shed Hunt put on by Hunters for Youth, and it was amazing! They took care of all necessary preparations. Their guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and patient (my son asks a lot of questions!). They taught us what to look for and where to look as they guided us through a canyon area on private property, which they had arranged for us to use with the owner’s permission. It was absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful. Once we had hiked the gorgeous canyon, we came back together for Subway sandwiches and conversation. Although we didn’t find any sheds ourselves (darn porcupines!) the HFY organization made sure that no kid left empty-handed by providing sheds for them to take home. Overall, it was a fantastic and educational day with a wonderful organization! Thank you so much, HFY, for putting on this astounding event!
